The Plant Music label out of New York was kind enough to send along a copy of the twenty-ninth incarnation of their Scion sampler CD. What’s startling about this offering is that all of it is good. Usually in comps like these, you get a couple of title tracks that score while the rest is filler that flops. Plant has managed to pull together a roster of total quality which is paralleled by it’s diversity — from epic to underground to urban, they hit the mark on all of it.
