When I first saw the poster for the Born To Run Tour, I just couldn’t believe that Shad would be touring with k-os. It never crossed my mind, since the start of this blog, that they would be touring together. Unfortunately, Shad did not open for k-os in my hometown, Vancouver, because he opened for K’naan the week prior to October 7th. The closest city that had an “all ages” venue was Portland, Oregon. The trek down was about 5 hours, if I were to drive without stopping.

With the site turning one and a half years old this month. I HAD to be there with k-os and Shad on the same bill. After an eventful day in Portland, Oregon, Shad, k-os and I were able to get together for what I believed was a milestone for the site.

I also met up with Astronautalis, who also opens for k-os on this tour, that evening. He is a very cool guy. I enjoyed his set in Venue in Vancouver. Be sure to check out his Myspace.
