On November 2, 2010, Shad, CBC3 and JJBean will partner up a special limited release coffee bean called “Harambee Blend.” It will be sold to raise money for the education of girls in impoverished parts of Tanzania and Kenya. For every pound sold, $2 will be donated by JJ Bean to the Canadian Harambee Education Society (CHES). Shad, along with Hey Ocean!, will be helping with the promotion by performing at CBC’s Studio One. The audience of this show will be comprised of 50 lucky fans and anyone who purchases a bag of JJ Bean’s “Harambee Blend” between November 2 and 12 will have a chance to win tickets.
